A mainstay among our top 10 annual lists, Indio’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is without question the greatest music festival along the west coast. Given the mind-boggling efforts of other festivals including Outside Lands and HARD Summer, to achieve a higher level of greatness on a regular basis makes Coachella exceptional.
Coachella soared to the top of 2014 list when rumors that an OutKast reunion would take place were later confirmed. Although other festivals including Sasquatch! and others will feature Andre 3000 & Big Boi, week 1 of Coachella will mark their first public performance in years. History will be made all over the place.
We can’t ever shake the memory of Arcade Fire’s incredible 2011 performance. We’ll never forget seeing that eerie Tupac hologram trade bars with Snoop. The memory of Daft Punk’s glowing pyramid is forever seared into our memory. Potentially no other festival in the United States delivers the goods quite like Coachella has built its reputation from doing on an annual basis.
