Outside Lands is one of the artsiest events all year. The festival also has the added benefit of taking place in one of our favorite US cities, San Francisco. Pairing the bay area with the biggest names in music is like pairing great wine with even better cheese. Don’t let that description throw you off, Outside Lands is far from stuffy.
Culture is everything at Outside Lands, the factor separating it from other major US festivals. Every bit as much concern over the musical aspect of OL goes into deciding food & wine offerings.
Guests can visit the wine & beer lands for an authentic taste of San Francisco. There they can knock back local flavors between sets from bay brewers 21st Amendment, Anchor, North Coast and more. That sure as hell beats drinking warm Heineken all day.
This is a rare music festival with classic senses. The biggest names include past performers like Paul McCartney, Metallica and Stevie Wonder. Organizers balance the lineup well, including modern names like Vampire Weekend and Pretty Lights.
