Bonnaroo all around exhibits the things we love most about music festivals. Amazing music, awesome people and positive atmosphere combine to make this an unforgettable event.
Bonnaroo takes place toward the end of the calendar year, meaning it can pack loads of surprises within its lineup. 2013 featured festival favorite Björk and this year should continue the trend.
The festival remains a huge influence among the US festival circuit. Incorporating genres like comedy used to strictly be a Bonnaroo trait, now it’s far more common. Hell, Bonnaroo even has its own Ben & Jerry’s flavor (it’s delicious by the way), further marking them as a trendsetter.
Our main vice with Bonnaroo is the sweltering humidity. We’re willing to look past this to take part in one of the biggest music festivals of the year, but some people won’t agree.
There’s a bit of a standing rivalry between Bonnaroo and Coachella. Who puts out the best lineup? Which festival should you attend? We can’t have that debate til Bonnaroo’s February 22nd lineup release, but meanwhile …
