Coming in at #8 we have Electric Zoo, easily our top pick for EDM music festival of the year with an ever-so-slight edge over HARD Summer. Truly EZ is the type of fest made to appease the EDM gods.
The Zoo takes place annually in New York City and actually offers a better fest than the popular Governor’s Ball — unfortunately festival goers are at the mercy of the elements to the latter as testament to this year’s installment. Electric Zoo is still a veritable circus despite whatever weather elements are in play. And as you all know, NYC is typically where the bigger artists like to congregate.
The festival covers a whopping 24 acres of land (real estate is hard to come by out here) and serves as a mega dance party close to the East River. New York is exceptionally skilled at attracting the international artists we love when it comes to this genre, including Steve Aoki, Tiësto and Boys Noize.
It’s hard to come by an exceptional New York festival, ironically. If you’re an EDM fan however, this is everything you’ll need and more.
