True Music Festival has lofty ambitions of putting Arizona on the national music festival radar. Already having released the first portion of the lineup, TMF might actually deliver the goods.
True Music Festival’s lineup so far includes Bassnectar, The Flaming Lips, Wiz Khalifa, Capital Cities and Lord Huron. The festival’s site promises more artists are on the way, but this is no doubt an impressive booking for a first-time fest. It’s easy to dismiss an upstart festival but TMF creates an exception by bringing big names like The Flaming Lips to the Phoenix area is sure to turn heads.
True Music Festival will take place outdoors within Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on December 14th, 2013. We’re grateful the team behind True Music Festival opted for a winter date, when the Arizona sun is mercifully absent. Instead, festival goers will want to bundle up with the average hi expected around 66 degrees.
Tickets for True Music Festival are more than reasonable considering the lineup thus far, starting around $70 for GA and moving upwards to $160 for VIP options. VIP looks to include many of the standard amenities including private festival access, premiere viewing areas and upgraded concessions.
We’re certainly anticipating True Music Festival’s expanded lineup in the weeks ahead. More updates to come.
