Our Coachella travel blog takeover is still in full swing. These are the artists you guys are most looking forward to…
Coachella Travel Blog: Coachella 2013 Lineup
Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Karen O and the gang are longtime veterans of the scene and this year they finally make their triumphant return to the desert. Somehow it just doesn’t feel like Coachella without a few of the staples, and we’re absolutely stoked to see the YYY’s included in the bill. The better news? YYY will be releasing another album this year and follow up their stellar It’s Blitz! Album. We’ve always been a fan of Karen O’s stage presence, this show is a must see.
Dog Blood – The side project of Skrillex and Boys Noize, the Coachella debut of this super group is sure to pack all the electronic music you could ever ask for in one night. It would seem Skrillex and Boys Noize, after headlining many an EDM festival, are now playing the festival circuit in search of a new sounds. Skrillex himself can draw crowds of thousands – make sure you don’t sleep on Dog Blood just because the name change.
Phoenix – Seems like it’s been forever ago since our friends from France last did the festival circuit. Now, prepped with a new album, Phoenix is finally back and playing one of our favorite festivals. We had a chance to stream some of the new tracks earlier this month and it’s safe to say Phoenix still retains their sound, an energetic blend of pop and polished rock. It will be great to see what a few years downtime does to their stage performance overall.
The Postal Service – Many people never had the opportunity to catch these guys live before they essentially disbanded. Their one and only album has been a cult classic of the indie scene for nearly a decade, instantly taking you back in time when you hear the infectious synthesized beats. We’re perhaps most excited Jenny Lewis will be touring with the boys, original supporting vocalist of the group. There’s a lot of buzz about these guys this year, make sure you don’t miss them!
