Iron Maiden fans are excited that the rock band has announced plans for a new tour starting in 2016. Iron Maiden has also revealed an insane new jet for their new world tour to promote their new album, Book of Souls.
The new album won’t be released until September 4th, but the band has been going all out promoting it already. Introducing the new Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jet for their new tour is just another way Iron Maiden is getting fans pumped up for the album.
The front man of Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson, will be piloting the plane that is being called Ed Force One. The jet will take the band, crew and over 12 tons of equipment across more than 55,000 miles around the world. Iron Maiden will be performing in six out of the seven continents including 35 countries.
The Book of Souls World Tour 2016 has not officially set in dates, but they have announced a plan. Iron Maiden plans on opening in the United States in late February. They then will head down south to Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil. They want to return to the United States and play more shows there and in Canada before traveling to other parts of the world. After visiting Canada, the band plans to head to Japan and then to China and Australia. They hope to end their tour in Europe.
The new jet is a lot bigger and better compared to the other Ed Force Ones the band has used in the past. It is a huge upgrade for the band and I am sure a lot of their shows will sale out. Iron Maiden always puts on an epic show and this tour will be nothing but short of amazing.
