One of the biggest and most star-studded festivals in Las Vegas took place this weekend and it was everything we hoped for. The iHeart Radio Music Festival was held at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino’s Garden Arena and the red carpet and stage was full of the biggest names in music.
The festival is always known to have a wide variety and mix of music like rock, rap, country, pop and dance and this year was no different. This year was the fifth annual so you know the festival was going to be one of the best.
On Friday night, Coldplay, Sam Smith, Duran Duran and the Killers took the stage. The Killers call Vegas home and they were clearly the crowd’s favorite as they opened their set with a cover of Elvis’ Viva Las Vegas. Kanye West also performed along with Lil’ Wayne and Kenny Chesney. The first night of the festival also saw some big name celebrities on the red carpet like Courtney Love, Disclosure, Demi Lovato, Ryan Seacret, Jason Derula and Krewella.
The Daytime Village concert took place on Saturday and guests saw performances from Tove Lo, Zella Day, George Ezra, Lovato, Nick Jones, Big Sean, Walk the Moon and Hozier surprised the crowd when he brought some members from Duran Duran on stage with him.
The fun didn’t stop at night when The Weeknd, Blake Shelton, Lil Kim and DJ Diplo took the stage. Jennifer Lopez might have stole the show though with her energetic and fan favorite performance. She gave the crowd a taste of what is in store during her upcoming Las Vegas show at Planet Hollywood.
It is hard to not have a good time at a festival, especially when it takes place in the heard of Sin City. Plenty of celebrities came out to play and the iHeart Radio Music Festival turned out to be one of the best they have had.
