Rock Out in Chicago this September

The windy city is the perfect place to visit at the end of summer. And even better, there will be an awesome festival at that time!

Riot Fest and Carnival will take place at Douglas Park over a 3-day period. From September 11th to September 13th, Chicago will be the place for rockers.

The festival will have a mix of rock, punk and rap. Some of the acts headlining this year include Modest Mouse, Snoop Dogg, Billy Idol, and No Doubt. Other acts include Cypress Hill, Pennywise, Rancid, Coheed & Cambria and Flogging Molly.

This is a killer lineup so it would be well worth the trip. I am more looking forward to Modest Mouse because I have been waiting to see them for many years. But I think that Snoop Dogg will also be a good act to see.

For only $150 for all three days, you can’t beat this festival. Some of the best artists and bands of all time will be performing. It is know to thunderstorm during the festival, so you can dance in the rain! The weather will be a lot of fun. There is so much to do in Chicago, but probably not enough time with all of the various acts, with even more being announced soon.

Not that I need a reason to visit Chicago, but Riot Fest is a great excuse to beat the heat and travel there this September.
