Country Songwriters Shine at Bluebird Café

Nashville, Tennessee is where many country music stars are born. There is one place that has really helped many stars get their start in music. The Bluebird Café is a tiny, world-famous venue in the heart of Nashville.

This is the spot where you can listen to many up and coming songwriters. Many of the songs played at the café have gone on to be hit songs by top artists. The café only has 90 seats. The place is small and really isn’t that much to look at, but the magic that happens inside is what it is all about.

The café open in 1982 and just five years later Garth Brooks played at an open mic night and a songwriter’s showcase at the café. This is where Garth Brooks was discovered and he has gone on to be one of the biggest country stars of all time. At the age of 15, Taylor Swift was discovered at the Blue Bird Café back in 2002. Songs sung by Patty Loveless, Faith Hill and Taylor Swift have all been performed at the Blue Bird Café as well.

Any given night, you could run into some big name country stars checking out new songs. Artist like LeAnne Rimes stops by the café often.
